Project and Purchase
I purchased this beautiful felted bag from my daughters online shop http://www.etsy.com/shop/KnittedForEwe. I love everything about it... the tree detail, the colour, the size and the little ceramic bird closer.

Computer problem fixed
My computer has been at the warranty repairers for two months (not the 10 days they originally told me) so I have some catching up to do.
Iris were blooming
Angel Trumpets were beautiful
Before
Watched my favourite parrot have his breakfast
Saw The World ship in the bay .... huge beside that sailing boat
Went on a whale watch tour. No whales so was given a ticket for a tour next year. That will be in October when the whales come into the bay (sea sickness in the open water is not much fun). Did see dolphins (those are the specks in the water) and penguins.
I tried to talk this guy into bringing in the bin. No. I couldn't get my children to bring it in when they were at home either.
Made a slip cover for my lounge
Visited my friend in her new home. She walks her dog in Hyde Park. http://www.discoversydney.com.au/parks/hydepark.html We had a great couple of days. There was lots of walking, talking, laughing and eating. She lives right in the city and I live near the beach...we have the best of both worlds.
Happy New Year.

Fun few days
Over the past three days I have been staying with my friend Anne-marie.

Thursday night we went to her daughters (Alanna Cherote - remember that name - picture above) gig at the Supper Club in Sydney. Alanna brought her fabulous voice with her. Wonderful. We parked right outside the club in a no standing zone and didn't get a ticket. The parking Angels were certainly looking after us. More wonderful.
Friday we brunched and shopped and drank coffee and talked and ate.
Saturday we hung out.
Thank you for treating me like a Queen. I enjoyed every single moment.
Your turn next Anne-marie.

Walk before the storm
I managed a walk before the rain this morning.
I'm loving my seaside daisy at the moment.
Garage sales are big around here, especially on a long weekend. That tree has enough nails in it to build a small house...amazing it survives.
My brother thinks it's funny that the birds around here don't fly away when you walk past. They just get on with their business. He also had a kangaroo hop past him when he was walking down the street and he thought that was hilarious.
Interesting root shapes where the water has washed the soil away .... amazing that tree survives as well.
I found these shells on the beach. Not a good photo but you can see the shape ... Angel Wings.

Just to show you how 'tough' this walking everyday thing is
This walking everyday caper is tough but someone's got to do it.

Doctors Orders
My Doctor has prescribed a walk every day for at least 30 minutes. So I have to drag myself, kicking and screaming down here to the Basin and walk whether I like it or not.
Wind and Red Dust from Central Australia
Wind, red dust and a bit of rain is not a good combination.

My car and house are covered
but a good old Aussie pie in the comfort of my car
was still a pleasure down by the bay.
While I was chatting to my new found old friend she had a knock on her door. It was her neighbour to tell her the wind had picked up their garden shed and deposited it on her clothes line. Seems they are very neighbourly in the country .... they share everything.
