Doctors Orders

My Doctor has prescribed a walk every day for at least 30 minutes. So I have to drag myself, kicking and screaming down here to the Basin and walk whether I like it or not.

The walking path is on the left of the picture

Sometimes I even have to turn my head and look at this

Could be worse I s'pose.

Wind and Red Dust from Central Australia

Wind, red dust and a bit of rain is not a good combination.

My car and house are covered

but a good old Aussie pie in the comfort of my car
was still a pleasure down by the bay.

While I was chatting to my new found old friend she had a knock on her door. It was her neighbour to tell her the wind had picked up their garden shed and deposited it on her clothes line. Seems they are very neighbourly in the country .... they share everything.

An Old Friend

Yesterday I met up with an old friend I haven't seen or heard from for a decade or more and except for catching up on water under the bridge, it felt as if we had not had that distance.

Bargain Shopping Day

Today I went to a few garage sales, the op shop, the tip shop and Tomerong Markets. Didn't take my camera but here is a link to the markets.

I scored a pair of pants and a blouse for $4 at the Op Shop and spent too much on a card reading at Tomerong Markets ..... although the things he knew were spot on and if his predictions are as correct, I'm in for a good time.

Just so you have something to look at .. this is where I hang out on a good day like today.

This mornings garden walk

On my walk around the garden this morning I found the first flush of lavender

and couldn't resist capturing the Birds of Paradise with the first tiny figs of the season in the background.

Another week has flown

Another week has just flown past. I spent the week paid working and the weekend fun working in the garden and painting (same old, same old).

Painted the garage doors

Planted zucchini, leeks, snow peas and beans

I also recently changed my house around.

This used to be the dining room and is now the lounge room and breakfast nook.

And what used to be the lounge room is now what I am calling the garden room (not quite finished yet) complete with day bed, dining table, sewing machine

The tiny house works much better now. The garden room has french doors and a large window so it almost feels like being in the garden and is a great place to read and do stuff.
